EKS Anywhere., cluster autoscaling and node group aware topologies

In the current decade, customers are being benefited with a variety of on-premises/colocation based as-a-service flexible consumption models, e.g., Dell APEX wherein they can optimize their technology spend based on baseline plus on-demand buffer capacity.
In addition, there is a plethora of Data on Kubernetes services that are being offered via Enterprise operators or community-based projects. These data services explicitly need an assurance from the underlying abstractions to place the workloads in worker nodes that require a varied strategy than the regular workloads used for stateless applications.
In this blog we will demo and explore the technological aspects of EKS Anywhere to support Auto-scaling and node groups. Such potential technology configurations if rightfully combined with powerful flexible consumption models can unearth significant cloud like experiences for customers.
Please note that this is purely a technical configuration related content. However, it is up to the imagination of the reader for extrapolating technical and business benefits via its implementation.
The video showcases a complete walkthrough of how EKS Anywhere clusters can be enabled with Auto-scaling and Node groups for targeted workload deployments.
Steps to execute:
The entire procedure as seen in the above video is documented within the the associated github repo sub-directory
That’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed the read and understood how EKS Anywhere can be configured with Node groups and Autoscaling.
